An Offshore Sailing Race in the Southeast Aegean Sea The Göran Schildt Memory Race was first sailed in 2010 and it was an immediate success.
The offshore race is nowadays an annual event and it is included in the racing program of the Hellenic Sailing Federation/HSF that are members of ISAF.
Both the start and finish of the race is located in Lakki which is the largest harbour of Leros. The racing part of the regatta event is arranged in ORC Club and Open Class categories.
The Offshore Sailing Race is a cooperation between the Nautical Club of Leros, the Cultural Youth Association Artemis on Leros together with the Christine and Göran Schildt Foundation from Finland.
